Dark Sumatra
Rich and flavorful with earthy tones representative of the way in which this coffee is processed. Because it is un-washed and spread out to dry, this coffee is given the chance to absorb the earthy and grainy notes that give Sumatra its distinct cup character. The particular Sumatra we have been buying is a Grade 1 from the Mandheling region. Our dark roasted Sumatra is a bit more pungent with slightly less body, (mouthfeel) than our lighter-roasted Golden Sumatra.
